At byACRE we take your privacy very serious. At the same time we want to give you the best possible experience when you’re visiting our website. We therefore collect some information that we use when you use our webshop or website. This could be which pages you visit or which functions you use on those pages. We have made this privacy and cookie policy to make sure that you always know which type of information we collect while you visit our website, why we collect it, and what we do with the information.

We never collect information without you knowing it. Before we collect any information you will always be made aware of it; whether it is when you first enter our website or when you make a purchase in our webshop.

Personal information

Webshop

When you place an order in our webshop you will be asked to inform us about your name, phone number, e-mail address and home address. Besides this information we also collect information about your purchase and your payment info.

We only share information such as your name, address and e-mail to the courier, who is responsible for the delivery of your goods. They only use this information to deliver the goods to you and to contact you in case of any issues regarding the delivery.

We only use this information to process your order. Your e-mail address is used to send you an order confirmation. Your name, address and phone number is placed on a label that we put on your on the package with your order in it. It might occur that we, or our shipping agency use this information to contact you if there are any questions or issues with the shipment of your order.

Extra warranty

If you want to make use of our extra 3 years of warranty you have to create an account on our website. You create the account with either a user name or your e-mail address and your own, personal password. In your account we store your shipping and billing addresses so you can easily make another purchase, or if you need to change the address for an order. When you register your product we collect the frame number along with your account details, so we can register that your product is valid for 3 years extra warranty.

Storage

We store this information for 5 years after you are no longer an active customer. A customer is active during the buying process and when a customer creates a user on our site, to receive 3 extra years of warranty. After the 5 years of warranty has expired, the customer is no longer considered an active customer.

Your consent & rights

You have the right to know which personal information we process about you. You also have the right to object to the information being used, as well as withdraw your consent to the information being used. If the information about you is wrong you also have the right to have them corrected or deleted. If you want to know which information we store, or withdraw your consent, please send an e-mail to [email protected]. If you want to complain about our use of your information you can also contact the European Data Protection Supervisor.

We use this information to keep improving our website and offer the most relevant content and features to our visitors. Google DoubleClick

DoubleClick is a subsidiary of Google that administers ad services. We use it in connection to Google Analytics to show anonymous information about when you clicked on an ad that lead to our website and which ad you saw. We use this to improve our ads.

Facebook

The cookies placed by Facebook are used to measure, optimize and build audiences for advertising campaigns on Facebook. It enables us to see how our website users move between devices when our users are accessing our website. We use it to optimize our advertisements based on which content our users has viewed and interacted with. You can read about the specific cookie on Facebook’s website.

YouTube

The cookies placed by YouTube are placed because we have embedded YouTube videos different places on our website. The cookies are used to provide anonymous, statistical data to YouTube about the users’ use of the videos along with statistical data that they use for marketing purposes.

Vimeo

Like YouTube, Vimeo is a video platform that allows us to show videos on our website. They have placed a cookie that tracks anonymous, statistical data about the use of the website in connection to the video that we have embedded.

WPML

WPML is a tool that we use to run our website in different languages. The plugin has placed two necessary cookies that both have the purpose of remembering which language selection has been made by the user throughout the session.

Jetpack

Jetpack is a multi-purpose plugin that we primarily use to back up our site and run anonymous analytics about the use of the website. The cookies placed by Jetpack allows us to use a tool where we see anonymous information about the pages visited on the website and the general interaction with our website.

How do you avoid cookies?

The first time you visit our website you will see a banner with information about our use of cookies. If you do not wish that we place any cookies, you should turn off the use of cookies in your browser settings. If you do, you might experience that some functions and services on our website do not work, because they can’t remember your settings and choices.

Click on ’Safety’ in the command bar in the right side and then ’Delete browsing history’. Check the box ’Preserve Favorites website data’ and in ’Cookies’ click ’delete’ and then ’ok’.

How to avoid future storage of cookies:
Click on ’Safety’ in the command bar in the right side. Under ’InPrivate Browsing’ check the box for ’Do not collect data for use by InPrivate Filtering and finish with ’OK’.

How to remove existing cookies:
Click on ’Tools’ in the menu bar, then on ’Options’, ’Privacy’, ’Remove individual cookies’ and ’Remove all cookies’.

How to avoid future storage of cookies:
Click on ’Tools’ in the menu bar, then on ’Options, ’Privacy’ and check the box ’Tell websites I do not want to be tracked’

Google Chrome

How to remove existing cookies:
Click on the tool icon at the top of the menu bar. Select ’Tools’, ’Clear browsing data’. Check the box with ’Empty the cache’, click on ’Delete cookies and other sites data’ and ’Clear browsing data’.

How to avoid future storage of cookies:
Click on the ’Chrome menu’ icon in the browser toolbar, then ’Settings’, ’Show advanced settings’, ’Privacy’, ’Content settings’, ’Cookies’, ’Block cookies by default’ and ’Block third-party cookies and websites’.
